Experiences
A seaside promenade links Renaissance castles, little fishing harbours, beaches and cafés. Kaštel Gomilica was even a Game of Thrones filming location.
Two UNESCO World Heritage towns about twenty minutes away: Diocletian's Palace in Split and the medieval old town of Trogir.
Crljenak kaštelanski – the original vine behind the famous Zinfandel – was found right here in Kaštela. Taste it in local wineries and taverns.
From nearby Split and Trogir, boats and ferries take you to Brač, Hvar, Šolta or the Blue Cave, and the Krka waterfalls are about an hour's drive away.
Mount Kozjak above Kaštela has hiking trails overlooking the whole bay, and Klis Fortress is one of Dalmatia's finest viewpoints.
Split Airport is about ten minutes away by car – ideal for short breaks, late arrivals and early flights.
Getting here
Split Airport is about 7 km away – roughly ten minutes by taxi or rental car.
Leave the A1 motorway at Prgomet or Dugopolje and follow signs for Kaštela. Parking is free, inside the villa's fenced garden.
Split ferry port is about 30 minutes away by car – perfect for trips to Brač, Hvar or Šolta.
City and regional buses and the train connect Kaštela with Split and Trogir. To explore the area, we still recommend a car.
